Native to the Caspian Sea, Beluga have the largest and most delicate eggs of all sturgeon, resulting in caviar that provides an incredible pop.</p> <p>In 2003, SAF began to import Beluga and other sturgeon species to raise domestically, and in 2005, the US banned all imports of Beluga and its caviar due to the decline in its wild populations. Since 2009, Sturgeon Aquafarms has been successfully breeding Beluga and four other sturgeon species in Bascom, Florida. Now, a decade and a half later and at the culmination of a journey that began 40 years ago, our authentic Beluga caviar is finally available for sale in the United States.</p> <p>As the only company currently in possession of this critically endangered species in this hemisphere, we are in a unique position not only in the United States but also globally to help restore its wild populations thanks to our successful breeding methods.
