Its density makes it stronger and less stringy than Emmental when heated, so it is better for grating, grilling and using in soups. It has the buttery and toasty-flavor that features a wonderful complexity of flavors, including candied walnuts and dried fruit, with earthy and nutty notes and a rich, creamy aroma.
